What is a Happy Birthday?
Is it the presents that one may receive?
Is it the cake that one may receive? or
Is it the family and friends that say Happy Birthday?
As a kid you had a Happy Birthday with all these things, but as an adult what is more important: the cake, the presents, the friends and family or is just to know that you are still present.
It is nice to receive a present and have a cake with friends and family around, but again it is just nice to be one.

Seconds ago, the sullen sun set on the two of us… my exuberant furry companion and me. A fresh breeze embraces us, delivering welcome relief from the day’s oppressive heat. To me, a Happy Birthday would be to be left alone and for me to do whatever I want. Alone. Lol!
