Hangover

The shame I can't remember.

By Uneven ModPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

The morning dew whispered of another day to live through.

Transient clusters of dry leaves gave way to the wind, grazing my knees, so pleasantly distracting.

I could feel the pebbles and earth digging into my flesh but it didn't matter so much.

In a fog of pristine bliss, tender nothingness, I knelt upon the given terrain taking large successive breaths.

Songs and declarations of nature playfully bounced around resonating as they met each living part of this beautiful system.

Darkness.

Intense yet empty.

That is all I have to offer in this moment

Darkness.

And a familiar place.

Here I obstruct the Light.
