Social Art: A Lesson in Words and Gestures

In the big world, I've learned a lot,
To chuckle just with teeth, not a whole lot.
Shaking hands, my heart kept apart,
A skill learned, a cold kind of art.
When 'Goodbye' is just a fancy mask,
Hiding 'Good-riddance', an easy task.
Saying 'Glad to meet you', a little game,
Not always true, just words to tame.
'It's been nice talking', a phrase rehearsed,
After moments dull, where interest dispersed.
In this learning curve, a social art,
Speaking words, playing a part.
