I woke up at 3 a.m.
Constant palpitations,
It's just a figment of my imagination, right?
You the unseen, I see plainly...
I don't think I am taken seriously
I feel you all around me, my omnipresent friend
Forgive me, I am a neophyte to this.
Some say it's sorcery,
Doctors say insanity,
I call it reality, actually heavenly
I rely on my senses than rationality,
I give you my heart and mind,
Take control, I give you my soul
Donned in an angelic cloak,
A light that's felt but never seen to those unknown,
It protects me from the shadowy man,
The one who bangs on my door at 3 a.m.
Deliver me from these grotesque envisions and manifestations,
Protect me my unseen friend, protect me from the shadowy man.
Because your shadow has foreshadowed prognostications
I've seen how this plays out, Deja Vu
Or to society, they call it voodoo
Doctors say I must be addicted to the little "Red Pill"
But they don't realize I am addicted to red letters from the book of the unseen,
No pills for me.
Instead I sip and savor the taste of red wine,
In remembrance of the unseen hero who saved me
I sometimes feel I am from a different time,
Never "in-tune" with today's society
I prefer the simpler parts of life, the days society left behind
Call me looney.
They say I am hallucinating while society is delusional
Succumbed to the greed fed by machines
So if I'd rather talk to an unseen entity, let it be
As the C.O.G. that I am, I say hello to my unseen friend,
The one others call the Great I Am.
I woke up at 3 a.m.
