Hallelujah Indeed
A Christmas Story

I’m hating my journey, the passion is gone
Becoming more lonely as time passes on
I’ve wallowed in pity, I’ve longed to be freed
To be hallelu, hallelujah indeed
I’ve noticed I’ve changed, I’ve pushed people away
Stopped praying the prayers I most often would pray
That Spirit within said, “I’ll help you proceed
Again hallelu, hallelujah indeed“
I’m searching for someone to share in my life
To have a companion and someday a wife
Just something organic, ‘til hearts intercede
So come hallelu, hallelujah indeed
We met Christmas shopping at Park Meadows Mall
By a holiday tree that was thirty feet tall
Her scent was a fragrance the heavens decreed
Her scent hallelu, hallelujah indeed
We’re both sipping cocoa while checking out shops
We spiked our hot chocolate with Peppermint Schnapps
She bought a few presents for people in need
This girl’s hallelu, hallelujah indeed
She has a young son who’s abundantly smart
He dotes on his mom and they’re rarely apart
This feeling of magic, this feeling of greed
It feels hallelu, hallelujah indeed
By anyone’s standard this likely is love
My prayers have been answered by heaven above
All wounds have been sutured, they no longer bleed
Long live hallelu, hallelujah indeed
And now Christmas morning, all covered in snow
No dark clouds above me, no pity below
Our happiness quotient we’ll surely exceed
We sang hallelu, hallelujah indeed
