Half-Crazed with Love: A Poem

love bestows.

Love's not a waltz in perfect time,

No measured steps, a graceful rhyme.

It's not a picnic, calm and neat,

But frantic laughter, down a crazy street.

Love's heart, a hummingbird's erratic beat,

Fluttering fast, skipping a heat.

It throws logic out, a playful dare,

Leaving reason hanging limp in the air.

Your smile, a kaleidoscope, bright and bold,

Shifts and changes, a story untold.

My thoughts, a whirlwind, swirling free,

Consumed by you, and what you might be.

We chase each other, breathless flight,

Down rabbit holes, bathed in moonlight.

Sense of direction, lost and frayed,

In this whimsical game, joyously played.

Grand gestures painted in the sky,

Promises whispered on a butterfly.

Jealousy's sting, a sudden spark,

Followed by apologies, sweet and stark.

We fight like children, fierce and loud,

Slamming doors, emotions in a cloud.

But with a laugh and a stolen kiss,

Anger evaporates, in a tender bliss.

Sleepless nights, fueled by desire,

Building castles in the flames of fire.

Ignoring warnings, whispered low,

Blind to the world, in this crazy glow.

Foolish dreams take flight and soar,

Ignoring doubts that creak at the door.

We paint our world in shades of rose,

Ignoring thorns that love bestows.

Maybe we're reckless, maybe we're mad,

But in this madness, we feel truly glad.

The world fades out, a muted scene,

Lost in your eyes, a vibrant green.

This crazy dance, a frantic whirl,

Leaving sanity in a dizzying swirl.

But in this chaos, a truth we find,

A love so fierce, it bends the mind.

So let the world call us half-insane,

Lost in a love that defies the rain.

For in this madness, hearts entwine,

A love so fierce, it feels divine.
