What is a Haiku?
Just seventeen syllables
That tell a story

Haiku poetry
Adds that extra challenge, and
We dare to accept

So a good Haiku
Will tell a story, or paint
A vivid picture
—
Now don’t be frightened
Just choose your words carefully
And give it a whirl?
—-
You don’t have to rhyme
Some don’t , some do all the time
You’ll find both in mine
—-
It’s good exercise
For your vocabulary
And makes your mind work!
—-
