Sunbeams stream through blinds.
Tawny tabby suns on sill,
golden eyes slivers.

Although this is a haiku about a tawny tabby with golden eyes, Simba had blue eyes. Ruby had golden eyes. They were great friends, along with a gray tabby, Miles, and an Aussie, Mariah. We miss the four of them and all our other fur friends. - - aoc
