Growing Up

How fast time goes by

Walking, talking, riding a bike,

whistling, monkey bars, holding you tight.

Ice skating, roller skating, don't walk behind cars.

Sunsets, moon watching and looking at stars.

Singing, dancing, Hide and Seek,

running through, sprinklers, light on your feet.

Please and thank you, wait your turn,

share with others; So much to learn.

Be nice and considerate, treat animals with care;

Don't chew with your mouth open and please don't stare.

Tying shoelaces, telling time, learning to write,

learning to climb.

These are just some of the things that you've done,

with many more years to have fun in the sun
