Grey Matter
borderLINE

Convoluted Grey Matter,
Has me skipping between a schizo sad and a schizo sadder,
Emotional children lose their cool, who is me myself and I...
What is three generations of arrogant Jeopardy!-winning fools;
Scientists paint Philosophers' Stones,
Authors’ echoes resonate through lecture halls of Rock and Roll,
Shattered mirrors reflect internal fragments,
Fifty shades of Grey Matter to me because I've lost white-balance,
Colour-blind to life’s palette,
Supposedly, Souls spawn from Carbon lattice... a fallace...
Our Eyes play tricks, which our Minds can’t manage,
Poisoned Challace,
Order to chaos wilting like a dying Digitialis... like a dying Digitalis...
Foxgloves to prevent frostbite,
Snake’s revolve Moses’ Shadow, as Hounds sleep a Fox bites,
Lost sight, ‘cause we’re all death-blind,
Though, open your third-eye, God signs,
Gullible we lay to Nature’s lies, absent a paradigm,
Paradoxes frustrate such fates you can’t describe...
Not even 16 crimes, with a confession I signed, could stop my time,
Why? Prison is life...
Short-sighted of wisdom, we need more opticians,
Blinded by a system, disguised with a catch,
We juggle 22 crystal balls unaware of this fact;
Sacks of slates engraved with lies,
Facts and dates depraved with time,
Taught to I, by teachers through lines,
Yet, left to me to read between,
Transcribed by I through rhymes to tightrope Borderlines, until I do or die;
When Grey Matter rots, tides shatter into rocks, Souls lost,
From birth I’ve yearned to learn Life’s worth... Curse this Paradox;
Forever I seek Eternal Escape, Awake,
However, this Minotaur cave labyrinth’s my Mind’s staircase...
Look up, White Doves fly ahead,
Unsynchronized Parallels is how we met,
Though, nothing lasts forever, so as Doves we fly,
High above skies to forget why...
Borderline.

Wow, that's profound and beautifully written. The imagery and depth of emotion and rap style really resonated with me. Thank you for sharing such a thought provoking piece.
