Grey is Growing on me

poem of hope

By Andy CheekPublished 5 years ago 1 min read
From The Daily Drive| Consumer Guide

Grey, what once was dull is growing on me with this new shade

It catches my eyes and makes me think on it in a brand new way

I think I’ve lived a dull life, just your average kind of guy

Going through motions without the “manual”, I don’t know the reason why

Always dreaming of taking the talents I have and doing something more

But stuck in neutral of life’s drive, I think I’m only just a bore

So many rarely reach for the stars, but some have that ”it” and shine

Those grounded imagine of a day that those same stars for us will align

That grey gives me hope, I never would think the color would appeal

Maybe I have a chance some day, and my dreams are not so surreal
