I can’t hear your stifled voices

Scrolling through Facebook

Looking for choices

They gave you the red pill

They gave you the blue

Stressed and confused

You don’t know what to do.

Put on the Green Light !

Put on the Green Light !

Greece is burning, so is California.

Sydney’s under water

Don’t say we didn’t warn ya.

They call it the Great Reset

I wasn’t even born yet.

When emissions started mounting.

The Midnight Clock began it’s counting.

Put on the Green Light.

The leaders of the world are out on the ledge

While the building is burning

They’re making a pledge

2030 , 2040 , take it to the edge

By 2050 halve emissions

If there’s anyone left.

The word on the street

Is there is No Word on the street

If you’re going to march

You need to get off your seat

Get on your feet.

Greta, I get her

Got her on my sweater,

Don’t go to school on Fridays

Make the environment better

Too much pollution

Need a solution

Get the kids together

Gonna start a revolution

Greta Greta Greta Greta

Greta Greta Thunberg !

Thunberg !

Get another iceberg

Cause the ones we got are melting

Take it to the streets

Angry words of youth be pelting

Inactive politicians listen up ! or cop a belting

Join in the fight !

Put on the Green Light !

Tell the Fossil Fuel fools 'Get Out !

They don’t know wrong from right.

We’re in Code Red !

Put on the Green light !

Get it into your head

We’re in the minutes to midnight.

It shouldn’t take a school girl from Sweden

To tell us that. Right ?

Fade out.
