Green Leaves And Lavender Dreams

Dream Lover

By Andrea CummingsPublished 4 years ago 2 min read

Can’t put my finger on it- first time you said hello.

Everything feels ethereal, time be moving slow.

When I hear your voice- my heart and soul just wants to smile;

Don’t care if I’m silly, giggly like a little child.

I dream of your touch- imagine the taste of your skin;

And I am certain it is cocoa mixed with cinnamon.

Digging your vibes, even when you’re not feeling great-

Take pride knowing I lift your spirit when we conversate.

The smell of fragrant leaves takes me back to days before.

I want to smell it, even though I smoke no more.

Behind closed doors you and I will ride on scented clouds-

As I take in the contact of your fragrant loud.

Your fingertips will slowly trail from my face to lips.

Wanna feel you inside, while you rock my world and hips.

I sit back and imagine these many things-

Wanna get lost in fragrant leaves with you in my lavender dreams

I need you in my life, in many different ways.

I’m craving for your touch for the rest of breathing days.

Take my extended hand, so I can set you free-

While you get lost in my beautiful verbal alchemy.

You’re worth more than you know my most desired treasure.

Too long you’ve felt pain, just want to give you all the pleasure.

Joy, never pain – sweet kisses in misty rain-

Time may do it, but my feelings- they will never change.

I lay in your arms as you puff, no need to pass.

As we slow wine, sand passes through the hourglass.

Look deeply in my eyes, breath in the lavender fields.

Please don’t wake me up just in case none of this is real.

You kiss me softly, paralyzed by the heavenly scents-

Entrancing fragrant leaves- spicy like peppermints.

I’m gonna take you over and make your body scream-

Then lull you to sleep comatose by my lavender dream.

And when the morning comes, I’m reaching out for you.

I find you gone- my mister too good to be true.

My dream lover is gone with the dawn of the day.

One day I’ll find you- that’s my mission, yes, I’ll make a way.

Still smell the lavender mixed with warm delicious leaves.

Wanna sleep forever, in my arms you’ll never leave.

One thing I know- I know that you’re out there.

But I want you now, pouty child; no this isn’t fair.

Each kiss is the warmest hug I never felt.

Your eyes tell me secrets that your heart has always kept.

Intoxicating, I’m wanting like a fiend-

Thinking of your green leaves and me lost in these lavender dreams.
