Waving in the wind
As if a flag
Making unwavering claim
To the ground beneath
Hiding everywhere
As if a symbol
That will not be eradicated
Because life is everlasting
What do I have to offer
To the vastness
The endless forms of creation
The shapes, the colours, the hues
That will of course continue
Far beyond my time
Far beyond the decay
Of my wavering body
I offer
My unique breath
Breath that feeds the green leaves
Adds to the vastness
The endless forms of creation
Breath that will stop with me
When I return back home
To the ground beneath
I am of the vastness
I am the endless creation
As when I rise again
From the ground beneath
I will wave in the wind
Making undeniable claim
To life everlasting
