The grass is always greener
On the other side
So you left me in search of it
I see you rolling around
Playing with your new soil
And brushing out the remnants of ours
I see you planting seeds
Breathing the crisp air
And looking up towards the blue sky
But tell me
Is it really greener over there?
As you stand there I can’t help
But notice the grass at your feet
It seems so lush
And vibrant
And… Green
Maybe… No.
That’s not for me to know
All I am to know
Is that my grass is green
Not that yours is greener
