Green eyes,
Green eyes,
What do you see?
I see the ocean ebbing and flowing,
I see the sand becoming dampened,
Beneath the current,
Shells washing ashore,
And there are people galore!
On this bright summer day.
As I sit here and reflect,
I wonder how we can all connect,
And unite for a common cause,
The beach makes us pause,
And say, “Hey! There is more!”
Let’s see what washes ashore.
The birds will feed,
The grass will grow,
And let us not forget,
About that bright white snow.
Winter or summer,
Rain or shine,
Isn’t the Earth completely divine?
There isn’t much,
that my green eyes haven’t seen.
But what isn’t seen,
Often brings us the most pleasure,
Until it arises,
And then it is gone.
So let’s all press on,
From dusk until dawn,
And under the moonlight,
Ah what a sight!
Green eyes,
Green eyes,
What do you see?
I see my world unfolding before me,
And I hope to bring us as close,
As sunshine, roses, and wildfire.
