Green-eyed Girl

Green as pallet paint, encrusted

just like yawning sea-green eyes: so private

beneath a prim bob-cut hide soft lips lusted

green as pallet paint, encrusted

and covetous, a girl maladjusted;

a comic chief, dormant eyes aestivate;

green as pallet paint, encrusted

just like yawning sea-green eyes: so private.

Watching like a hawk, covetous

green-eyed girl with the camouflaging heart

in the pit of rife condemnation: gluttonous;

watching like a hawk, covetous

and maladjusted, so infelicitous

to a woman like me: torn, crushed and lusting;

watching like a hawk, covetous

green-eyed girl with the camouflaging heart.
