Gratitude Calendar (May)
from Belle's "Invitation to Thank" Idea

This journaling is for the last week in May 2024. It is based on gratitude. But journaling wasn't my idea. Belle posted a prompt and I decided to do it, but then she decided to take down her prompt...It was too late for me to turn away. But I still want to recognize her idea :)
_______________________________________________
May 25th: I'm grateful to have a son who diligently loves and cares for his mother by acts of service and upkeep that I can no longer do. Our yards look wonderful! I'm also thankful for the homemade strawberry jelly I was able to make. Turned out pretty good.

May 26th: Thankful for the breeze to go along with the 86–90-degree weather we are having today on Louisiana. Also, thankful that the severe weather our neighboring states had last night didn't touch us. Praying for them...especially the ones that lost loved ones and homes.
May 27: I am grateful for the sacrifices given from soldiers on this Memorial Day!
May 28th: It's raining here, and the droplets are cold upon my old skin, even though the temperature is in the high seventies (my air conditioner is set on 72 degrees.) That's why I've made my homemade soup/stew, rainy or cold days. All of this makes me mindful of those that are less fortunate. Saying a prayer to God to bring them shelter, food, and hope. My recipe:
May 29th: I'm grateful for the ability to research topics quickly and efficiently from the internet. I'm old enough to remember referencing from encyclopedias and using the old Dewey Decimal system/card catalog system at the library to find the right book. Now information is just a click away!
May 30th: Grateful for the gentle rain that falls, which waters my growing tomato plants and peppers! Grateful that I can cook for my family and see them enjoy their meal.

May 31st: Last night I prayed a very specific prayer, and I am very thankful that the prayer was answered today.

Thankful for Belle who came up with this idea!

You had such a wonderful weekend.
Great idea, Shirley!
Awww, this was just so wonderful! Well, except for that storm though, that's so sad 🥺
This is beautiful Shirley. I enjoyed reading this. Of course I am very interested in the homemade strawberry jam and the dump stew. Where there is food you can find me. Great job as always and I gave you an outstanding in the insights.
Beautiful… so much thank the Lord for!🤩💜 This reminds me of Rowan Finley’s ‘Thank You list’ a fortnight ago. https://shopping-feedback.today/poets/a-thank-you-list%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/span%3E%3C/a%3E A wonderful idea… mine list is still a work in progress… things happening slowly currently! \🙄
