Granny’s Ghost

My little girl talks to granny in our mirror

My little girl talks to my mum.

Her Granny, all the time.

She appears in the mirror,

And I hear my daughter’s laughter loud.

“Granny, you are funny,” she says,

As her giggles fill the air.

But when I enter the room,

No one’s there, just emptiness there.

Her voice, so soft, whispers of love,

Echoing from days gone by.

I watch her smile and share sweet tales,

Of memories that never died.

Mother, I know you’re still with me,

I feel you here with us every day.”

And though I search the empty space,

My heart knows you’re never far away.

In the calm of night, I hear you chatting ,

The laughter carried with the night

Your mum love remains a guiding light.

Each and every single night.
