Grandma's rescue

a most comfortable feeling

By Mike CornishPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Where is mummy

I’m crying and my eyes are hurting

no-one understands

I’m so hot, I want to be sick

I feel so tired

There she is, beckoning me

“I’ll take him” I hear her say

Into her arms I climb

I stop my crying

She smells so nice

Her arms are tight around me

I snuggle into her neck

She carries me away

Cool air blowing away my tears

I climb into her lap when she sits down

My head against her bosom

Grandma never let’s me down

She understands what I need

Her hands are so gentle and firm

The most comfortable feeling

I close my eyes

It is time to sleep
