Got stronger
A poem about how bullying made me a stronger person
You thought your bullying and your coldness towards me would get rid of me.
You thought I would commit suicide.
But what you didn't realize
is your mistreatment of me made me stronger.
You thought I would never make it in this world.
You thought I would never achieve anything.
But what you didn't realize
is your bullying made me stronger.
You thought you won over me.
You thought you achieve what you were trying to do.
But what you didn't realize
is your abuse made me stronger.
You thought I would depend on you
so you could just throw me away like a piece of trash.
But what you didn't realize is your hatred made me stronger.
You thought you would bring me down.
You thought I would never be able to pick myself up again.
But what you didn't realize
is your put downs made me stronger.
You though everything you have ever done to me would make me weak.
You thought I would never survive it.
But because of your anger, hatred, and jealousy
I got stronger.

Such a beautiful poem of strength!
Really great work, enjoyed reading and also got stronger myself. Thanks
Well-wrought! The sentiment here reminds me of my favorite quote from Nietzsche: "A rich and powerful soul not only gets over painful and even terrible losses, deprivations, robberies, and insults: it actually leaves such dark infernos in possession of still greater plenitude and power; and, what is most important of all, in possession of an increased blissfulness in love. I believe that he who has divined something of the most fundamental conditions of love, will understand Dante for having written over the door of his Inferno: 'I also am the creation of eternal love.' "
Here is to strength! 🥂
It's beautiful! I love it!
Very good. You've got strength in this that I can feel.
You assert the essential element of self being, strength, great poem for all, 😊😊
Great poem. I think bullying is so wrong. I am glad you became stronger. Your poem is such an inspiration.
I stand with you. I was bullied as a child too, and when you learn to face them and love yourself, you grow stronger. I love this assertive poem!
