Gone Fishing
With a pole, some line and a hook
It's better then reading a book
It's something I Admire
It's even warmer sitting next to a fire
It's the thrill and adrenaline to catch a fish
It sometimes makes a great dish
It's great to be on a boat on the sea or river or lake
You know you got something when your rod gives a shake
It's great to have a fishing friend
You sometimes wish the adventures would never end
There's different places all over the world to catch
But you better watch your pole or you might have to go fetch
To get a bit it might take seconds, minutes, or even hours
It sometimes sucks to fish in the rain and showers
Its awesome to mix beer with fishing or smoking
when you don't catch something you're caught wishing
A fish might put you up to the test
But when you catch one it puts your mind to rest
For the simple blessing of nature and the water ahead
Makes for all the best effort of rolling out of bed
Guided your ether in the light of day or the dark of the night
But any time to me fishing is alright
For its a hobby a pleasure that's been handed down threw generations
From USA to and spread all threw out all nations
For I once herd a bad day of fishing beats a good day of anything else in a song
That melody carried on with me to stay strong
Know that its not all about the catch or release
Its living in the moment of persistent peace
So get out there and drop that sinker and hook
For you only have the present to see the outlook
Of what God created for us to all enjoy
Rather man, women, girl or boy
To in a since ride the waves of time
For you know I got fishing on mind
Its not called catching for a reason
Sometimes you cant even get a bite threw the season
And you fight to see another day wishing
To be Gone Fishing
