Golden Man

Light of Truth

By Kendra AbramPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

The essence of earth’s core

I watch as it burns and melts away my impurities

Suited like a plate of armor able to tear through thy enemies and purify all that seek to destruct, destroy, and to make fund from it’s lava

It’s been molded into riches for taxing against its’ very own

It’s been ripped apart and sold to be used as a tool to avenge and mislead

The pounds equivalent to the bang of Thor’s hammer

It stands firm in one’s sight

It won’t go unnoticed

Too bright to be outshined and too strong to stand in line

It was you

It was your golden skin as I watched it dance to the light of the sun

You were my mirror to heaven

The serenade to my favorite song

Gold not like the fool but like the puddles that pooled amidst the motherland

It will now be used to save our people

You were not meant to be as a weapon but protection from the decaying layers of malice that surround us

I would be foolish to not see the beauty you held

My golden man I wish to stand beside you

I wish to bore babies for you are the golden fountain of youth

An earth surrounded by gold

Would that be too much of an overview

You no longer will be the ticket to the factory that the weak has made

But the process in us knowing our own ancestry

They can not erase your gold for without it nothing anew is laid

Stay by me, do not falter, continue to rise, and allow me to watch as the kingdom kneels at your golden alter
