Blessed be -

the purple hue

of my mother

exuding care,

nurture, healing.

the silver streaks

of my father

slick comfort

inviting laughter.

my sisters

orange & yellow; fully.

together and apart

shining of a new flame.

the sky blue

of my nephew

pearly whites, the clouds,

while the spirit, heaven sent.

pink, red, & green

glow through my nieces

deep inhales of wonder

promises of a bright future.

& then there’s me…

 learning, dimming the aura

doesn’t give people peace

because it takes away mine.

joy rains down upon me

staring into the mirror

illuminating the core within me,

my life is so golden.
