God is Not Silent

By Julie O'Hara - Author, Poet and Spiritual WarriorPublished about 18 hours ago 1 min read

Verse 1

The world keeps turning faster,

And the noise grows loud and wide,

But the Holy keeps on breathing

In the quiet, deep inside.

Every heartbeat holds a whisper,

Every moment hides a sign,

And the Love that shaped creation

Still is speaking, still is kind.

Chorus

For God has not gone silent,

God has not withdrawn,

God has never stepped away

From the rise and fall of dawn.

God keeps speaking softly

Through the life we’ve made our own,

Not in spite of all we’ve built here—

But through it,

We are shown.

Verse 2

We thought we lost the Presence

In the wires and the screens,

In the cities built of metal,

In the rush of human dreams.

But the Holy walks beside us

In the places we forget,

In the hum of every moment

Where the sacred and the human met.

Chorus

For God has not gone silent,

God has not withdrawn,

God has never stepped away

From the rise and fall of dawn.

God keeps speaking softly

Through the life we’ve made our own,

Not in spite of all we’ve built here—

But through it,

We are shown.

Bridge

Oh, the world is full of wonder

If we only choose to hear,

Every breath becomes a message,

Every shadow holds the clear.

Every sorrow hides a teaching,

Every joy becomes a sign,

And the Love that shaped the ages

Still is moving,

Still divine.

Final Chorus

Chorus

For God has not gone silent,

God has not withdrawn,

God has never stepped away

From the rise and fall of dawn.

God keeps speaking softly

Through the life we’ve made our own,

Not in spite of all we’ve built here—

But through it,

We are shown.

Outro

So we listen in the stillness,

And we listen in the noise,

For the Holy keeps on speaking

Through our lives,

Through our joys.

And the world becomes a temple

When the heart is open wide—

For God has not gone silent,

God walks at our side.
