If things are driving you nuts
And you’re anything like me
Which you must be, if things are driving you nuts
You will blame yourself, and in many cases
You will be on to something
But there have always been, and will always be cases
In which the person being driven nuts by things
Had the courage to think that the problem must be with, well, the things
That they ought to be changed
Despite the danger that always goes along
With changing things
But the danger is often mistaken for the change
The danger is a means
The change is the end
If things as they are drive you nuts
Do what little you can
To change them
Write something
You are reading proof
That it doesn’t have to be much good
To change things, in a few minds
For a little while
What’s the worst
That could happen?

“The danger is a means The change is the end” very thought provoking lines! And yes I am like you, things are definitely driving me nuts
You know, you may be right. Well said.
Sometimes it’s hard to know if it’s the things or ourselves, but a little bit of change can help with both. A great reminder, and a great poem!
I love your poem: "The danger is a means, The change is the end" , is so inspiring
If something is driving me nuts, I'll try my best to give it a taste of it's own medicine hehehe. Loved your poem!
A departure for you, D.J., more stream of consciousness than your form-ruled poems but I liked it.
