Glazed Stuffed Dipped, Sticky Circles of Dough

Donut Acrostic

Delicious and soft, sickly sugary and sweet

Only about 253 calories in one ring-like treat

Nibble around the edges or nosh right through

Until it's gone - now there's only one thing to do

Take another from the pack, give the cellulite a smack

Stuff your face and forget about the grace that you lack

*

Are you ready for another one?

Ready for some circular creamy fun?

Enjoy them in the rain, enjoy them in the sun

*

Ate another one already? Is that why you are unsteady?

Whatever, get some coffee, and your dunking hand at the ready

Everything is better with these glazed, stuffed, and dipped rounds

Sticky fingers, sticky lips, sticky touches, sticky sounds

Oh my, the very thought of those soft, fluffy fried circles of dough

Makes me wanna go to Krispy Kreme, Dunkin' Donuts, or where prices are low

Easy enough if you had to guess, donuts - those glazed, stuffed, dipped, sticky, circles of dough are the best

*

Thank you for reading. This is the follow-up to my Soft, Fluffy Cubes of Decadence poem all about marshmallows. It is an acrostic poem inspired by another of my favourite sweet treats - donuts.

Mmm! Glazed Blueberry cake donuts are the Sh*t! It's funny how your mouth can water from just reading words. Nice acrostic!
