Girl Bandaged

-Tierney Monteith

By Tierney Monteith Published 4 years ago 1 min read

It’s the flirting with the madness in the darkness that’s her guide,

An angel on her shoulder with the devil deep inside.

Soon a thirst in her is craving,

When she grins her wicked smile,

what follows through her teeth there after is of soul seducing style.

A giggle thrill shines in her eyes as you see that devil stir,

it lights her pupils in the dark,

It’s there where lies the cure.

You get a glimpse behind her armor,

where her innocence is kept...

You’ll find love is to be her weakness,

and all the heartbreaks she has wept.

Reaching an understanding why her souls been in a cage,

so pure and playful and run wild you’ll feel her crazed and stifled rage;

it’s just that of a temper in a child

An anger from a pain that she still hides...

Even though she tries to pretty up the scars,

Those fractures are where that pain resides.

Undressing herself from shame they have labeled that girl bandaged,

Using what they should have stolen,

And leaving leads to all that’s damaged.

Now wearing that abuse,

Dressed it up in a seduction,

Taking lead in the game of hunting,

Now a living prey turns predator production.
