A box of chocolates, jewelry, a gorgeous red rose,
what is it you expect from the partner you chose?
I'd rather get time, a lifetime in fact,
a smile, memories, a best friend with whom I can effortlessly interact.
Let's bury the cliche shows and water meaningful love so it grows.

Nicely put sentiment, but I'm afraid we're stuck with the profit margin of the Hallmark Holidays. Sigh...
