Giants

permeate sweat and salt

giants subtly whisper

afraid to say my name

since waking with ambition

I’ve become a goliath to their frames

massive eyes anchor the floor

if I am near by default

their daydreams turned nightmares

sheets permeate sweat and salt

monsters gladly ask to light my path

when they see me walk down the road

they fear most to make me mad

and build me bridges across risky moats

I know demons who have done good deeds

I know angels who bathe in sin

I have read my own story several times

but I always forget how it ends.
