Ghana My Home

Home Sweet Home

By Isaac AmpofoPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Ghana, my home so dear,
A land of gold, where cultures appear,
From Accra's bustle to the countryside's grace,
A nation rich in heritage, a warm embrace.

The scent of jollof rice and fufu fills the air,
As drumbeats echo, stories beyond compare,
The golden coast, where history meets the eye,
A treasure trove of secrets, passing by.

In the hills of Akwapim, the sunrise gleams,
As the Volta River flows, a life-giving stream,
The forests dark and deep, a mystery to share,
A land of wonder, beyond compare.

From the Ashanti's pride to the Ga's delight,
Ghana's diversity shines, a beacon in flight,
A nation strong and free, a people bold and bright,
Ghana, my home, where love and joy take flight.

So let the kente cloth weave its vibrant hue,
As we celebrate, a heritage anew,
Ghana, my home, a love that's pure and true,
Forever in my heart, a flame that shines anew.
