hey, get comfortable

Yeah, you.

come over here, let me put my arm over your sweet shoulder

Take a walk with me

You comfortable?

Am I too close?

Does it feel like warm fireplaces and a new, sweet symphony in your pulsing heart, just like it always did in my late night dreams?

Did your heart skip a beat?

Did you feel like I was too late?

Well, get comfortable,

Yeah, with me, if it’s not too much trouble

Am I trouble?

Your eyes were sad, tears streaming down

And I wanted to hug you

Embrace you tighter than anyone ever had in your life

Is that comforting

Is

This

What

It’s like

To go into withdrawals

To never have been able to create the memories with you

Like I believed we would

To create the comfort I never felt or could comprehend

To create new ideas, feelings, warmth, kindness or comfort out of a walk

That we never took

Come over here, get comfortable

With our new sense of normal

Oh Gosh, that’s what I’ve been missing.
