"Get Comfortable" Challenge #2

The Sorrow Portends

By Ad-Libbing With The Z-ManPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

The key to find comfort, as fate has alluded,

Comes from a change of mind, since polluted.

In driving by, I,

With debating eyes spied,

A man of whose stride,

Such pains were implied.

And under such strain, my thoughts did arraign,

And onto my brain did shunned regret stain.

While feeling the urge to amend for my sins,

Shame and despair did together so din,

And implore of me a change in my ways,

For those I love so,

In death, one sad day,

Will exit my life,

Forever--

Or so we may say.

So comfort, in part,

Must come from the heart:

So, when it does call,

We must--

Against all--

Rise.

Or so Fall.
