This is for Mikeydred's March prompt!

Hope springs eternal. - Michelle

************************************************************

Rain-soaked

Hands caked in earth,

She combs the ground with hope,

Turns the soils where white frost once lay--

New growth.

Fingers worn, numbe against the past,

She teases hope from death

Dirt-soaked

Living.
