Garden of Love
Welcome to my garden, garden of love spectrum colors fill my eyes
colors of the rainbow, birds delight with song and flight
sometimes I stay into the night there’s no malice in this palace
nor need to be in fear the earthy scent after a rain, make the colors crystal clear
the soil provides enough to eat, a stream meanders cool to drink
a shady tree when I feel heat, a wisp of sage helps me to think
welcome to my garden, garden of love
in my garden sun shines bright,
sometimes I stay into the night
Some would say my garden’s small others think I need a wall
come in peace your welcome here, my garden is a place for all
leave your isms at the gate, no bigotry or mindless hate
filled with rage you can’t come in, my garden is a place of Zen
it’s safe in my sanctuary no one will bring you pain
hours pass without a care in my garden never scared
enjoy your stay feel free to roam, treat my garden as your home
Welcome to my garden, garden of love
Welcome to my garden, garden of love
Welcome to my garden, garden of love
Welcome to my garden, garden of love garden of love
Imagine a garden of love that we created, vivid colors
clear blue sky colors of the rainbow
folks can be who they are without harming each other
a busy street where we can meet when life feels melancholy
no threat of violence free to speak I think our garden’s calling
a canopy of sight &
sound in our garden love is found
step outside our comfort zone if we don’t try we’ll never know
Welcome to my garden, garden of love
Welcome to my garden, garden of love
Welcome to my garden, garden of love
Welcome to my garden, garden of love garden of love
