Awe-inspiring that knight stood strong,
Dressed in shining mail,
Determined to be victor again without fail,
The people cheering hard and long.
His mighty shadow spread far,
His adversary seeming to quiver,
The knight looked ready to see a new scar,
On his foe one he will deliver.
Thrice the bell sounded,
Lord releasing the anticipation of the crowd,
Soon the Knight's foe found himself confounded,
On his back grounded.
“Galahad! Galahad! Galahad!” Roared the People,
Galahad had once again bested man,
He had once again proven himself a legend, a fable,
The strongest man.
Ten months and two suns after,
Galahad was issued a challenge,
He met it with boisterous laughter,
As he took in the man with a humorous tinge.
He stood all but a few feet in height,
With a gut round with joy,
A smile full of fight,
In his hand was what most thought a toy.
Galahad accepted the challenge with mirth,
He decided to use only his fists in this fight,
Otherwise the challenge may be akin to fighting a newborn after birth,
Another challenger to be reduced in height.
However, Galahad caught up in his self-assured superiority,
Didn't realize the knowing and confident face the dwarf held,
And in the span of five minutes Galahad found himself felled,
Gasps were heard in majority.
Galahad had been conquered,
In that moment he knew his mistake,
A wound to his pride, his honor, lingered,
A lesson from this he must take.
No longer would he laugh at another, assured of his own ability,
Instead he would take each challenge with humble humility,
And so sought to challenge the dwarf,
To prove his worth.
A fortnight following that day,
Galahad found himself across from the dwarf,
This time as equals as any should say,
The fight began to morph.
It was the flip of the last engagement,
Galahad once again became the strongest,
Yet also the crowd watched In amazement,
As he with his last mercy and words to the dwarf he became one of the humblest.
