    That single line hit harder than I expected, especially paired with the title — it felt less like a statement and more like a warning whispered under someone’s breath. I found myself filling in the silence with all the ways “the dark” gets normalized little by little until no one’s sure when the lights went out. Was the brevity intentional to mirror how quietly these things happen, or did it come from a moment of just not having more words left?
