I want to change the past, I really wish I could…. I wish I was never influenced by poverty, society, and the wrong crowds in my neighborhood, —as they also were influenced by a dysfunctional household, alongside of other traumatic events they have experienced during their childhood.

I was tricked—so caught up in the feeling of unity of being in this gang brotherhood but, I never was told making it out free, or alive, was an unlikelihood.

Nor did I know that, taking a life does not graduate me into man nor womanhood—as most of us in this lifestyle grew up without mentorship and a lack of parenthood.

I was constantly told “being in a gang does not get anyone nowhere good.” But at the time I was simple-minded, fueled by rage and fury, and deprived of intelligence for this concept to be understood.

I was distracted —so immersed in the lifestyle and temporary fame it would bring me similar to Hollywood. I was so caught up in the financial glory of selling illegal goods—fooled into thinking it would bring me a profitable livelihood.

I wish I could change the past. I really wish I could…. But now that I am here, I know that a gang. does not…. Get Anyone Nowhere Good

This was so powerful! I mean, even if the past can't be changed, we can learn from it.
