Our lives are not comparable
Through the shades of green and blue crying out loud
With the promises cut short
Out of thin air without lifelong support
On days wrapped in bubbles
And dressed to impress
With the whiff of the future
Dragging its days
On eggshells:
Dark brown Chestnut Maran
And Burford Brown
Bluebell Araucana
Tinted green or blue Ameraucana
And the Old Cotswold Legbar
In a pastel-coloured tuxedo –
Blue, turquoise, olive, pink, peach, or eau-de-nil
Barred Rock in light pink
Isbar and Favaucana in sage green
Colour
Asil in a sweet pink or cream tone
Olive Eggers blending dark brown with blue
Coming up with the tinge
Of dark brownish-green
Descending into deep chocolate brown of Penedesencas
And Welsummers with speckles
Until brilliant bird Barnevelder
With double-laced feathering
Will change the colours of this game
Either from buff-and-white or black and white
Into blue and green-dyed again
