Fueling the Fire

Before my embers expire

Anger rages from

The bottom of my heart

Digging deep

It flashes out fueling my art

🕯🕸𓂃🪶

Renamed passion

Gates unhinged

Desperate to divine the truth

Bare hands are thrust in

Inspiration worth any risk

🕯🕸𓂃🪶

Flesh melted

Bone exposed

Each revelation meticulously

Recorded in books and folders

🕯🕸𓂃🪶

My form

Sketched on plaster walls

I’ll roam the house

Upstairs, down halls

🕯🕸𓂃🪶

Would I call

This work a trap?

It’s a labor of love

Excavation with revamp

🕯🕸𓂃🪶

A person one day

Will find my corpse

Preserved with unguents

Aromatic and portentous

🕯🕸𓂃🪶

I will watch hovering above

As they pose in feigned horror

Rummaging through my finer things

🕯🕸𓂃🪶

The only proof I was ever in-dwelling

The mural of my soul

The tears I wept

Inking page after page

That no mortal ever reads

With words they didn't want to hear
