From the Fireplace
A nostalgic view from a different perspective.

Frost on the windows and stockings above. Joy in the air and tinsel on the tree.
My warmth radiating, from my cove in the wall.
Warm cups in their hands and smiles on their faces. Matching pajamas and kids so merry.
My blaze so comforting, from my cove in the wall.
Songs being sung and cookies on the bench. Gifts beneath the tree and the dog dozing in the corner.
My glow so mesmerizing, from my cove in the wall.
Snow comes falling and street lamps are lit. Blankets on the couch and with all so cozy.
My crackle so nostalgic, from my cove in the wall.
The clock ticking late and the kids starting to yawn. Everyone starts to sleep and then a peace settles in.
All of this for me to see, from my cove in the wall.
