It's been a rough one, lost my job at Five Guys

Got kicked out by my girl, she says I'm a surprise

Maybe she's right, getting sacked isn't cool

But I can make changes, and show her I'm no fool

I'll cut down on my sleep, give you what you need

Take time and make time, show that I care

I love you, I swear, girl, oh so fair

But tell me, if I wasn't broke, would you still be there?

Seventh day of sofa surfing, wearing Calvin's with pride

Sitting and thinking, hitting rock bottom, I confide

But no one to blame, just me and my mistakes

Maybe I can make a change, for heaven's sake

fact or fiction
