From love to hate

The Pain of Love Lost: A Poem About the Transition From Love to Hate

By Musfirah KashifPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

It was love that brought us together

A flame that burned so bright

We had a connection like no other

That filled us with delight

We shared our secrets, our hopes, our dreams

We pledged our love and trust

Our future seemed so bright and promising

As if it were made of gold and dust

But then something changed, I cannot tell

Our love began to fade

Our relationship was on the brink

It seemed like it would never be saved

The flame of love that once burned so strong

Was now replaced with hate

The pain and heartache were too much to bear

We had to part before it was too late

Though our love has faded, I won’t forget

The joy that it once gave

But I must move on and face the future

And I must learn to live and forgive.
