From Day To Dark

The eclipse of our heart

By Marie381Uk Published about a year ago 1 min read
The eclipse

In the sky, a foreboding show,

A solar eclipse consumes the glow.

The moon encroaches, shadows collide,

An ominous whisper where daylight hides.

Panic swells—what’s happening now?

Will daylight return? We furrow our brow.

A gasp escapes; the world holds its breath,

In an eerie stillness, we flirt with death.

The air feels thick, a shiver runs deep,

What secrets does this darkness keep?

Like a gripping thunder, uncertainty reigns,

As the sun’s fierce light faces deep disdain.

But oh, watch as shadows begin to withdraw,

Fear gives way to awe—nature's law.

With a sudden burst, the brilliance breaks forth,

A flame igniting, a fierce heavenly mirth.

In that wild moment, the senses ignite,

Chaos and wonder in the fall of the light.

As warmth returns, we breathe, hearts racing,

For in the eclipse, life’s thrill found its pacing.

The heavens quiver, the spectacle vast,

We’ve danced with the dark—now freedom is cast.

Oh, what a rush when the day is reborn,

In the thrill of the unknown, we are forever drawn.
