From Afar
Shy and skittish mouse
Yet one of a kind— pretty
Yet quiet,
Mine, o’ mine.
Enjoying life’s adventures in silence
Which to you it pleases
And only aloud with ones
To your heart you hold closest.
I admire you from afar.
I know little about you
Yet I feel close.
Even though we only talked a little,
I’m not being weirder
Than my regular weird.
Just learning about who you are from others,
From afar.
No stalker, just me
Wanting to be your friend
And maybe more,
We’ll see how it ends.
Mousey dear,
Come closer.
Don’t be afraid;
I will hold you close
To my heart handmade.
