Fresh snow

Poem

By Melissa IngoldsbyPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

fresh snow laid out on the grass,

There’s no better place than you

Fresh coffee, you get there fast

No one else would dare get there first.

First snow on the earth

First kiss, like a heady mix of jasmine, sun and moon, fresh orange and green and dream,

There’s nothing better than the quiet way you look at me

First dew drop of rain in spring

It sounds like your twilight song,

Your heart laughter, from the gut

So happy and yet so sad,

I know that sound

It’s a droplet of me.

First snow and first rain,

Everything feels like a first with you,

If only in a dream.
