“You see colours others don’t see.”

He said to me, I recall.

Perhaps, that’s true, but

Who is she or he who do not see,

Colours at all?

As far as any eye can reach, and

My blind eye would beseech, beyond

The earthly round,

Everyone can see the hue of any earthly sound.

Some hum low, others cry high, but

No hue is silent on ground or in the sky.

What can be seen or may be out of sight,

One thing I do know, and

Of which I’m certain of being right;

We do not live in a world that is black and white.
