This morning … it’s over ! … will I see you again ?

You’ve been keeping me company, while we’re stuck at home

Now you’re leaving ? YOU’RE LEAVING ! … I feel so alone !

When I over-indulge, you don’t judge … you just keep,

Topping me up, until I fall asleep

I used to be friends with the scales in the bathroom

Now, they just mock me, from inside the gloom

Enemies – well, that’s a pretty strong word

But, I feel like, I just want to “flip you the bird”

Friends, Enemies, Enemies, Friends

Gotta stick together, until Covid ends

Red wine and chocolate – please don’t go !

I’ll be better … I promise … we ARE friends, you know

Bathroom scales, I’m sorry I called you heartless and cruel

I don’t want to be enemies … I’ve been such a fool !

Will you come in and join tonight’s party, I wonder

I’ll drink lots of water … and try not to chunder

Red wine and chocolate ? … will you join in the fun ?

TOMORROW … I’ll get up and go for a run
