Free the child

I'm all grown up now- and you can't handle it.

“your past made you stronger.”

Did it though? Please explain how it made me stronger…

I was a child- I wasn't meant to be stronger. I wasn't meant to be free and wild while under protection of adults

I was supposed to learn and grow as an individual but that was stolen from me when I had to grow up way too fast.

My past actually stole from me- I needed guidance and structure instead I got neglect and silence.

They expect you to get over the past. The past is in the past and should be left there.

Now I'm an adult and you wonder why I don't call. To you, it was a Wednesday- to me it was my life.
