They say forgiveness is a virtue

But I’d rather keep my anger

They say forgiveness is healing

But I’ve never been a listener

They say forgiveness is a necessity

But I don’t see how I could

They say forgiveness is a virtue

But I need to lose my anger

They say forgiveness is healing

And I guess it’s time to start to listen

They say forgiveness is a necessity

But it’s going to take some time

Yes forgiveness is a real struggle. Love your poem.

This poem captures the struggle of letting go so beautifully! The honest back-and-forth between holding on and moving forward feels so real. Love how it ends with a gentle acknowledgment that healing is a process, not a rush.
